Keith Baker and Ron Blatchley at Birstall Public Library
At the end of January the Birstall Public Library played host to local residents for a talk on Priestley by Keith Baker, on behalf of the Society. Keith touched particularly on the political philosophy of Priestley during his eventful life. Also present were Ron Blatchley and his wife Fran, our visitors from America. The audience were very pleased to hear from Ron about the history and possessions of the Priestley House in Northumberland (see previous news item for more details on Joseph Priestley House).
